foodecology food, laughter, life as healing

Dialectic

Where have you been

All this time

Before the one became two

Before the shield

Before the chalice

Before the spiral

And the raw beauty

Of communion

Before we were lost

In our own becoming

I am you are we

I can only answer your question

With a new burning away

And new steps toward

What will become of us

She said I need to know, now

Forgetting that the need to know is a piece of the knowing

Losing the answer in the question

Disappearing into the future now

Where the cycles repeat

The wind blows

We rise and fall

Blind to the majesty of being

Haunted by the memories of others

Her need forged to diamond

Unseen, waiting

The North Star

Calling us home.
